Recent poaching has removed critical nesting sites, leaving species like sugar gliders and other species without safe places to shelter and breed. In our park – where natural hollows don’t yet exist – these animals rely on nest boxes to survive. We monitor these boxes weekly and have seen a major drop in numbers of sugar gliders, indicating they have either been taken or displaced.
Your donation supports targeted wildlife whose nestboxes have been stolen or damaged following the recent poaching incident in the parklands. Rebuild. Restore. Rehome.
$30 → supports materials and maintenance
$50 → helps rebuild a nest box (one home for wildlife)
$100 → funds a full nest box
$150+ → supports multiple homes and habitat restoration
Each tier represents the impact your donation helps make. All funds go toward the ongoing protection, restoration, and care of the creek and its biodiversity.
Breeding season begins at the end of July. Nest boxes must be installed and settled in the environment before then – so wildlife can safely return and raise their young. Without immediate action, many species risk missing this critical window.
