A Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony will be carried out by Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Elder, Uncle Dave Wandin before community planting of indigenous trees and shrubs along the Darebin Creek between Mcleans Road and Greenhills Road. These indigenous plants will create a corridor from Norris Banks Reserve to the more established indigenous vegetation north of Greenhills Road, important habitat for small woodland birds and other wildlife. Supported by the Friends of Darebin Creek, the City of Whittlesea and the Darebin Creek Management Committee.
